1. What type of gold are your pieces?
Our pieces are 18K gold plated over a durable, hypoallergenic stainless steel base, meaning a layer of 18K gold is applied over a base metal. This process provides the luxurious look of gold at a more reasonable value. Our pieces are tarnish-free, water-resistant for everyday wear, and gentle on the skin, making them perfect for daily use. We recommend removing them before swimming or bathing to maintain their longevity. With proper care, your 18k gold plated jewelry will maintain its beauty over the years.
2. How long will it take to get my piece?
Custom pieces typically require 10-15 business days (Monday - Friday) for creation. Once your piece is complete, it will ship, and you can expect it to arrive within 2-5 business days for nationwide U.S. orders. During peak holiday seasons, please allow an additional 3-5 business days for creation and shipping. You will receive email updates regarding the status of your order throughout the creation and shipping process, and you will receive tracking information once your order has shipped.
3. Where do you ship from?
Etch & Gold ships nationwide from the Midwest, which allows us to provide efficient shipping across the United States.
4. Do you ship internationally? If so, what are the shipping costs and delivery times?
At this time, we only ship within the United States. We are actively working on expanding our shipping options and plan to include Canada in the near future. We appreciate your interest and encourage you to sign up for our mailing list and follow us on social media for updates!
5. I ordered more than one piece. Will they ship separately?
If your order includes multiple custom-made items, please note that the entire order ships together. The entire order will ship as soon as all the custom items are ready. You can expect it to arrive within 2-5 business days for nationwide U.S. orders once ready to ship. You will receive email updates regarding the status of your order.
6. How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within 5 business days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at care@etchandgold.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
7. How do I care for my 18K gold-plated jewelry?

We operate exclusively online, which allows us to offer you the best possible prices. This also provides you with a convenient shopping experience, with our entire collection available at your fingertips.
